Carla L. Hartley

A former United States Marine, Ms. Hartley is licensed to practice law in Texas and California, and has served in every possible position with a law firm, from receptionist/file clerk to law clerk and research attorney, to litigation attorney, and is now managing partner of this multi-state firm. While attending law school, Ms. Hartley was employed full time at a local long-time family law firm. Ms. Hartley graduated with High Honors from law school and was soon thereafter hired by another premier firm as an associate attorney where she remained until opening her own firm in 2009.

Ms. Hartley served as an adjunct professor at Ventura College of Law. She taught Advanced Legal Writing as a summer (intensive) course, and Federal Civil Procedure, a core course of the law school curriculum. By focussing our efforts exclusively on family law matters we have become a firm with both a broad base of experience and ongoing commitment to remain on the cutting edge of family law issues and education. Ms. Hartley served as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Ventura Superior Court on a regular basis, and also has served on the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Bar Association and as Treasurer of the Ventura County Family Law Bar Association.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her giant, goofy Airedales and spending time with her husband, Mike.
