Frances Gutierrez joined the Firm in March 2017, where she currently works as an Senior Attorney. She practices family law exclusively. Her sharp intellect, attention to detail, and diligent work ethic and personality make her a formidable advocate for our clients.
Ms. Gutierrez received her law license in 2012. She graduated from the Ventura College of Law and began working at a medical group in Santa Barbara as an attorney. In her role, she performed transactional work including contract review, development of policies and procedures for their Board of Directors, drafted shareholder contracts and agreements as well as vendor contracts for large scale medical equipment.
The skillset that was developed by Ms. Gutierrez while working in the medical industry is invaluable in the practice of family law as attention to detail and the ability to analyze disparate information to develop a plan of action are critically important in this field.
Ms. Gutierrez attended Moorpark College locally and then attended the University of Eastern Michigan where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice/criminology. While an undergraduate, she interned with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, United States Department of Justice, in Detroit, Michigan. She also spent a summer abroad studying at the University of Melbourne, in Sydney, Australia.
